Peace and
Serenity are the
underlying themes of all
her paintings. Fraulein is an avid Nature Lover who chooses
to express her self through the medium of Alkyd. Her philosophy is that "There is a need for peace
and serenity in this chaotic world in which we live". She is basically a
traditional artist. Her works are primarily impressionistic, mainly in the areas of
landscapes and seascapes.
Here
is one her seascapes that depicts a calm scene of an
off-shore rock covered with lush vegetation set against a
background of a calm sea with gentle waves caressing the
shore lines. The painting
labeled "La Fillette" was an
inspiration from a
country-side area on the
North coast of Trinidad.
It is a 30 by 36 inches painting on canvas done in Alkyd, her favourite
medium.
