Fraulein Rudder is a graduate of the Port of Spain Teacher's Training College with distinction in Art. The driving force behind her art was her father who from childhood provided her with materials including her first tin of watercolour at age nine. He sold her first painting at age ten. She was a student of the late M.P. Alladin and late Sybil Atteck in her formative years.

She is the Founder of the Women In Art Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago and held the position President of the organization from 1996 to 2012. The Women in Art was established in 1996 for the sole purpose of promoting women artists and to create an awareness of the contribution of women in the arts.

She has produced and published a book, "Women in Art 2000" comprising 38 women artists of Trinidad and Tobago. The hosting of the Annual Women In Art Exhibition over the years from 1997 to the present has been quite successful. Her preferred medium is Alkyd, which she loves because of its vibrant colours and flexibility and has been painting professionally since 1987. Her commissioned works includes the cover of an exercise book ‘Suffer Little Children To Come Unto Me", the Military Museum and portraits.

Her philosophy is "There is need for peace in this chaotic world in which we live. My paintings depict peace and serenity, which every soul needs. I find this in the presence of nature and hope to share it with my viewers."
